Do you build the projects?

No. AG Drafting & Design provides architectural design, drafting, engineering coordination, 3D renderings, and permit-ready plan sets. Construction is completed by your chosen contractor.

Do you work with licensed structural engineers?

Yes. When structural or foundation plans are required, we collaborate with licensed structural engineers to produce engineer-stamped documents that meet city and county requirements.

Do you handle permits?

We provide permit coordination and prepare complete submittal packages. Approval timelines depend on the jurisdiction and project scope; however, we guide the process from submission through comments and resubmittals until approval.

Which areas do you serve?

We serve Houston and surrounding areas, including Harris County and neighboring counties (Fort Bend, Montgomery, and others depending on the project scope).

What types of projects do you work on?

We work primarily on residential projects such as new homes, additions, remodels, garages, covered patios, outdoor kitchens, and pool/outdoor living designs.

Can you design pools and outdoor living spaces?

Yes. We design pools, patios, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, and complete outdoor living layouts. We can also provide 3D renderings to help you visualize the final result before construction.

What do you need from me to get started?

Typically: an address, a survey (if available), photos of the existing conditions, and a brief description of what you want to build. If you have inspiration images or a sketch, that helps as well.

How long does the design and permit process take?

It varies by scope and jurisdiction. Design timelines depend on project complexity and client feedback. Permitting timelines depend on the city/county review cycle and revisions, but we aim to minimize delays by submitting complete, coordinated sets.

Do you provide 3D renderings only, or also full plans?

We offer both. Some clients request renderings for visualization only; others request complete permit-ready plan sets with engineering coordination.

Will my project need an engineer’s stamp?

Some projects do, depending on scope and jurisdiction requirements. We’ll confirm early in the process and coordinate structural engineering when required.

Can you help if my HOA requires approval?

Yes. If your HOA requires an architectural review submission, we can prepare the necessary drawings and supporting documents based on the HOA guidelines you provide.

How do payments typically work?

Most projects are structured in phases (for example: initial design deposit, plan development, and final permit set). Exact terms depend on the scope and will be outlined in your proposal/invoice.
